ABSTRACT
This paper analyzes the phonetic information available in the entries of thirteen Galician
dictionaries published between 1986 and 2010. The need for indications of pronunciation is
discussed within the context of language normalization. We proceed to an examination of the
dictionaries in three sections: works with occasional phonetic notations, works with phonetic
transcriptions of all lemmata, and dictionaries of usage and others
